Outreach

Part of the mission of the Foundation for Advancement in Cancer Research is working to educate and support (both emotionally and monetarily) non-profit groups, events and individual cancer patients and their families. The Foundation currently sponsors over 100 people each month to provide alternative treatments not covered by insurance. It also supports the Row for a Cure, a boat row by a Long Island, NY life guard that raises money for cancer research as he rows, various research programs and an alternative cancer clinic in Mexico. These programs have a positive impact on patients by helping to keep quality of life high, which is a rarity among those fighting cancer.
